Discover world famous UNESCO sights of Turkey. Visit Ancient Ephesus, House of Virgin Mary, St John Basilica, and Temple of Artemis.

First visiting place is House of Virgin Mary including scenic views of the Byzantine fortress in Selcuk and the temple of arthemis. A long and winding road affords wonderfullviews of the valley en route to the shrine of st Mary. The diminutive house, beautifully situated in the solmissos Mountains, is considered by the vatican to be final resting place of the Virgin Mary.
Your tour continues to Ancient Ephesus where you will pass through the arched Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, down hill walk to the ruinsof the Romans provincial capital.Your knowledgeable guide will highlight such sights as the beautifully preserved Temple of Hadrian,the magnificent Trajan Fountain, the Odean Theater,once used for both political and entertaintment purposes and the amazing Celsus Library with its imposing faced and to story corinthian-style columns.The dramatic Great theatre is one of the few structures stil used today.İt seats twenty-five thousand and , altough it was once an arena for gladiator games, it is now home to annual spring festivals.
Although in ruins the Basilica of st john is stil a majestic sight to behold. Among the remains,l arge columns, frescos and mosaics stil stand, paying individual domes, the central one of which is thought to lie directly above the burial site of St. John.
Our last visiting place will be Temple of Artemis Considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, Ephesus’ Temple of Artemis was dedicated to the goddess of the hunt. Only the foundation and one column remains of this temple which once measured 425 feet long, 220 feet long.Paul’s successful ministry in this city was considered a threat to this very temple. The city reached the "Golden Age" and became a good model to the Antic World in culture and art, as well.
